I don’t pretend to be an expert at anything bookish. In fact I’m learning as I go. Recently promotion for my debut has begun. I check my email every morning to see if there is anything from Revell’s fabulous marketing or publicity people. It’s kind of like checking to see if there are any homework assignments due (except that most of this homework is fun).
I see what the blog owner or magazine editor want and then I try to figure out how I can get it written and back to them while still being a full time Mommy. Usually it requires me to work during the littlest boys’ nap time. I’m surprised how early some places want their articles but I don’t mind because it spreads the work out a little.
Anyway, most of the articles are not live yet. They are just turned in and waiting (so much waiting in this industry!) I just got an email that one of the interviews I did was live so I thought I would share my first interview that’s live with you. (Click here to jump over and read the interview!)
** And HERE are a couple of other recent interviews I’ve done! **
This interview was with NovelPastimes and was a bit of a challenge for me. The Hope of Azure Springs is written in third person and this interview is first person questions asked to Em my main character. I struggled to know how to answer without giving too much away. Be warned there are a few spoilers but I tried to keep them at a minimum. I hope you enjoy getting to know Em a little better.
If anyone has an brilliant advice on book marketing or thoughts on anything else I’d love to hear them!
Hello Rachel,
I’m very curious which island, you call home. I live on Whidbey and wrote Pauline, A New Beginning on Whidbey Island. It would be nice to meet you.
